Rationale and Purpose of the Module:

This module is designed to provide students with the opportunity to generate ideas and solve problems in an industrial setting. Hence, students will be able to practice some of the skills and techniques developed in other course modules.

Syllabus:

Selection of suitable project, User requirements definition and Problem Statement, Diary of Events, Project Planning and Scheduling, Project Execution, User Acceptance Analysis, Project Report.

Students will develop skills for; 1. recognising shortcomings in existing work practice, 2. report writing.

How the Module will be Taught and what will be the Learning Experiences of the Students:

Delivery is a hybrid of traditional distance education and online learning together with a number of face-to-face / on-line tutorials. In addition, there are online discussions moderated by a subject matter expert on elements of each module to reinforce the learning and maximise the benefit of the programme for participants.
