Rationale and Purpose of the Module:

The rationale and purpose of the module is to introduce students to a range of most current and emerging AI topics. Further, the seminar style of this module will teach important skills in reading and discussing research in the field, giving students the ability to remain up-to-date with the field beyond their studies.

Syllabus:

This module will be taught in seminar style with student-led reading groups based on assigned reading from most recent advances in the field. As such, the exact content of the module will change year-on-year.

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to: Critically analyse recent developments in AI research (knowledgeable) Continue active, lifelong learning in the field (proactive) Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of current research approaches in AI
