Rationale and Purpose of the Module:
Students write a dissertation of circa 15,000 words in a relevant area which reflects the conceptual, theoretical and methodological skills acquired through the Masters programme in English and which displays the ability to use these convincingly.
Learning Outcomes:
Cognitive (Knowledge, Understanding, Application, Analysis, Evaluation, Synthesis)
On successful completion of this module, students should be able to demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of relevant literature and current research; display an abililty to apply conceptual and theoretical frameworks; and demonstrate a clear grasp of methodological tools necessary to undertake an MA dissertation.
