Rationale and Purpose of the Module:
This Module aims to enable students to reflect on their professional practice and accocited learning in the context theories and practical applications studied across the modules within the Certificate in Management. The module seeks to empower and challenge students to engage in self evaluation and reflection by prioritising their learning and development needs.
Syllabus:
Syllabus includes - Introduction to reflection, prioritising learning and development needs, identifying development needs and opportunities, reflective learning jounals, personal development and learning plans. Evaluating the outcomes of reflection and also evidencing reflection on learning.
Learning Outcomes:
Cognitive (Knowledge, Understanding, Application, Analysis, Evaluation, Synthesis)
Recognise the importance and relevance of reflective learning practice.
Explain the process of reflection including the development of learning objectives and action plans.
Identify opportunities for learning and or the application of learning via formal career and professional development.
Reflect opon learning journal outcomes.
Produce evidence of reflective learning and its application.
Affective (Attitudes and Values)
Appreciate the importance of reflective learning in terms of both professional and personal development.
