Rationale and Purpose of the Module:
This module allows psychology students to demonstrate key research competencies which include the independent design, execution and interpretation of a research study under the supervision of a member of academic staff.
Syllabus:
Psychology is a living science and research forms a crucial part of the development of knowledge. Students are encouraged to select a research area of interest and develop their own research questions. Students will be assisted in the development of research questions and encouraged to keep the project to manageable proportions.

How the Module will be Taught and what will be the Learning Experiences of the Students:
Students will be encouraged to work independently under the supervision of a member of staff. Weekly tutorials with staff and lab work are the basis of this module.
