Universities from 5 countries jointly deliver the Global-MINDS programme in English and award graduates with a joint master degree.

How the Module will be Taught and what will be the Learning Experiences of the Students:

The summer school is conceptualized as a 10 days course (2 weeks). Week 1: Methodological training in culturally sensitive and cross culturally valid research, addressing the following topics: 1) Introduction to meta-analysis: Essential preparatory steps & Basic analysis techniques 2) Archival data and analysis: Sources of data archives & Analytical strategies 3) Cross-cultural comparisons: Measurement invariance & Multigroup analysis 4) Conducting social interventions in the field of Diversity and Inclusion 5) Research preparation workshop: Integration of methods and theory to real-world issues & Presentation and discussion of research ideas Week 2: overview and design of cross cultural interaction programs. This will be taught by experts in the field with respect to specific target groups: international students, cross cultural negotiations and management, refugees and migrants, expats Lectures given by experts in the area will address all learning goals related to knowledge. Invited lectures by practitioners will provide students with a practical perspective on social interventions in the field and how research can inform practice and policy. Class discussions will stimulate students' critical thinking and facilitate the application of learning contents of the Diversity and Inclusion path to concrete research problems in a culturally sensitive way. Groups of 4-6 students will design an intervention, to be evaluated by summer school lecturers. This will be presented the last day of summer school. Group work and presentation as well as in-class assignments will ensure that students develop methodological competences and that they actively engage in problem-solving activities related to the cross-cultural psychological research and interventions.
